General Questions
Q-What are AI Cross-Sells?
A-AI Cross-Sells feature offers additional item suggestions to guests to complement their order when they are at the point of sale, potentially increasing the basket size upon checkout.
Q-Why should I use AI Cross-Sells?
A-Offering suggested items to a guest at the point of sale can introduce them to new items that become their new favorites and can increase the size of the transaction.
Q- Do I have to use AI Cross-Sells?
A-This is an optional feature, but is a great way to increase awareness of your menu items and generate additional revenue.
Q-How does AI Cross-Sells know what to suggest as an add-on item?
A-Items will be added when one or more is missing from the primary three categories: entrees, sides and drinks. When making suggestions, the system will give more weight to those items that are most often sold.
Q-What will AI Cross-Sells suggest it a guest orders all three of the primary categories (entree, side, drink)?
A-A dessert will be suggested as an add-on item when a guest orders an entree, side and a drink.
Q-Is there more than one model used for AI Cross-Sells?
A- Yes. There is one standard model for all Online Ordering clients and two additional models for those clients who also have Enterprise Menu Management . Learn more here: What are AI Cross-Sells?
Usage Questions
Q-Do I need any particular Paytronix product(s) to use this feature?
A-You’ll need to have Online Ordering to use AI Cross-Sells.
Q-Can I turn this feature on myself?
A-Yes, you sure can. Follow the guidance in (Article Link). For those clients who also have Enterprise Menu Management, contact your customer success manager, solutions consultant or e-mail [email protected] for assistance.
Q-Can I turn this feature on for all my stores?
A-Yes, you can enable AI Cross-Sells for all locations by following the steps in (Article Link)
Q-Can I turn this feature on for certain locations?
A-Yes, you can enable AI Cross-Sells on a location by location basis by following the steps in (Article Link)
Q-Can I use Manual Cross-Sells as well as AI Cross-Sells?
A-AI Cross-Sells will take precedence over Manual Cross-Sells, when both are enabled. If you wish to use Manual Cross-Sells only, it is recommended that you disable AI Cross-Sells.
Q-What reporting is available for AI Cross-Sells?
A-There ‘Cross-Sell Report’ is available in Online Ordering to track AI Cross-Sells over time.
