This article explains the difference between push and pull messages, how to create a message template, how to send a push or pull campaign in Messaging and how to test message delivery on your device.
Push and Pull messages explained
Before you start, make sure you understand the difference between push and pull messages:
Push message — sent directly to a user's mobile device and appears on the lock screen or as a banner at the top of the device. Push messages require the end user to opt in to notifications at the device level. Push messages don't support image attachments.
Pull message — sent directly to the mobile app and appears in the app's notification center. Pull messages appear regardless of the user's push notification settings. Pull messages support image attachments.
