Overview

Forgot Visit Code (FVC) is a great way for a guest to still earn loyalty points after-the-fact on an order, even if they initially forgot to identify as a loyalty guest at the point of sale (POS). While not recommended as the primary way to earn loyalty points, it’s a good ‘second-chance’ option to consider.

How does the Forgot Visit Code work?

The forgot visit code prints during the closed check action regardless of the supported POS system configuration (i.e., Quick Service or Table Service). FVC operates with subtle differences, depending on which POS system is in place. We recommend contacting Paytronix Support or your POS provider to learn more about how the code is generated.

Supported POS Systems

  • Micros 3700

  • Aloha POS

  • Toast

  • Revel

  • Auphan

  • IRIS POS (Xpient)

How do I configure the Forgot Visit Code?

Contact support for assistance setting up the FVC. Paytronix will work with you to configure various components, such as:

  • The number of FVCs generated on a given day the guest can apply to their account

  • The Point accrual limit

  • Number of days after generation the code is active

  • Update configuration files (Micros 3700 or Aloha POS systems)

How do I allow my guests to apply the Forgot Visit Code?

Contact support for assistance in allowing guests to apply their FVC.

How do my guests receive their Forgot Visit Code?

Depending on the POS system used, an alphanumeric code, barcode, or QR code prints as a trailer on the closed guest check receipt and looks similar to the examples below.
