Overview
If you need to add a new store into the Paytronix list of available store, please follow the steps outlined below.
What do I need to know before I start?
Setting up a new store in the Paytronix system is self-service. For self-service store creation or updates at your convenience, you will need to have the following permissions on your account. If you do not have these permissions, please reach out to a user administrator at your organization for assistance.
Merchant default
Store administration
Store connectivity status
Store lookup
Merchant setup software configuration – read + write
Merchant setup credential – read + write + download
Merchant setup security agent – read + write
Merchant setup store – read + write
Merchant setup store group – read + write (if applicable)
Important Notes:
If setting up new store owned by a franchisee, please sure the relevant franchisee contact completes the Franchisee Service Agreement and ACH Form.
If setting up new store owned by corporate, please email [email protected] to confirm account setup with the store code and live date.
How do I add the new store(s)?
1. To start, navigate to thePXS Merchant>Store Administration>Stores>New Store
2. Enter the name and store code. This code needs to be unique.
3. Find your POS on the table below and follow the steps outlined in the ‘Next Action’ column.
Table of POS Next Actions
POS | Next Action |
Toast |
|
Square (Loyalty) |
|
Square (Gift) | |
Aloha | Continue set up with stores-specific information as explain in the ‘Store Mapping’ section of this article. |
Micros | Continue set up with stores-specific information as explain in the ‘Store Mapping’ section of this article. |
Symphony | Continue set up with stores-specific information as explain in the ‘Store Mapping’ section of this article. |
POSi | Continue set up with stores-specific information as explain in the ‘Store Mapping’ section of this article. |
Other | Continue set up with stores-specific information as explain in the ‘Store Mapping’ section of this article or contact [email protected] with any questions. |
4. Enter the store-specific information. The POS mapping group and POS system type should be specified depending on your setup. You may have more than one mapping group and the store should be put into whichever is needed.
NOTE: Hours should be entered as HH:MMAM-HH:MMPM, separating each day with a comma, and starting the week on Monday. For example, a store operating 9a-8p Monday and 9a-10p Tuesday would be listed as 9:00AM-8:00PM,9:00AM-10:00PM etc.
5. Enter the latitude/longitude if using the PX branded app. You can enter up to 6 digits after the period of these coordinates.
You should see confirmation screen with all the stores info when you have finished.
NOTE: If your POS integration does not use the Paytronix Controller (PXC), you may stop here. If your POS integration does use the PXC, continue on to step 6.
6. Proceed to creating the software files, security agent, and credential for this store under PXS>Store Administration>Software Config/Security Agent/Credentials. These will follow whichever POS is in use (Aloha POX + Aloha PXC, Micros POS + Micros PXC etc.).If using a PXC, each store must have BOTH a POS software file and a PXC software file.
These are the software files that will drive function at these stores.
7. From there you will need to create the security agent. This should reference the PXC software configuration you just created. You will not be able to create the security agent until the PXC software configuration is in place. If you select the POS software configuration, you will receive an error and not be able to proceed.
8. You will then create the credential. The credential will reference the security agent just made, and is the MAC address of the external NIC. You will find this through a command run on your BOH terminal where you are installing the Controller (Start menu>type “cmd” to launch Command Prompt>type “ipconfig/all”>Find the physical address (a series of 6 pairs). This is the MAC Address.
9. Insert this MAC address under the Label and Hardwire ID sections of PXS > Credentials.
NOTE: Each credential is unique, and therefor MACs cannot be duplicates.
TIP: If needed, the credential file can manually be downloaded and inserted into thePaytronix\Credentials Directory. It will be titled similarly tocred_30_13142_13840_22134.txt.
10. You are now set to install the Paytronix Controller service, found at https://supportpx.com/PxSoftware_PXC/.
