The PXC refers to the software and services installed on the point-of-sale server at your location. The purpose of the PXC is to communicate all loyalty interactions with the Paytronix Server.
POS to Paytronix Communication
The POS communicates back to Paytronix every 15 minutes. If communication drops (usually due to an internet service interruption) and PXC cannot send a status message, PXC will go into Store and Forward (S&F) or down mode.
During the period in Store and Forward mode, loyalty point accruals will be stored on the POS server. The front-of-house terminal may display a message indicating the offline state. Note: The POS server must be able to communicate with the front-of-house terminals for this process to work.
In the Store and Forward mode, PXC will attempt to send a status message every 1 minute to re-establish a connection. Once communication is established again, Point accrual transactions that were stored locally on PXC server will automatically forward to Paytronix servers. No further interaction is required on your part.
