Overview
Creating a coupon in Paytronix Online Ordering is simple. It's an effective way to increase brand loyalty, build repeat customers and gain new customers.
How do I create a new coupon?
1. Log into your Paytronix Online Ordering account.
2. From the Dashboard, select Settings > Coupons.
3. Click Add Coupon.
4. Give your coupon a name and brief description. Note: Avoid using special characters for coupon names/codes, such as $, £, _, +, etc.
5. Decide if tax on the order should be calculated for the total order amount before or after the coupon is applied.
6. Ensure the coupon is set to Active: otherwise, the coupon won't be available for customers to use. The default setting when creating a coupon is Active.
7. Set menu item requirements (other items that need to be part of the order for the coupon to apply), if any.
8. Decide if your coupon is for a flat dollar amount or a percentage of the total order (in our 5OFF example, we're using a $5 flat amount).
9. Configure options for free delivery, if the coupon should remove all taxes or if the coupon has auto discount.
10. Configure your Free Items (if applicable).
11. Configure any Discounted Items (if applicable).
12. Determine the dates (or even hours) you want you coupon to be effective. These fields can be left blank if the coupon will be active indefinitely.
13. Specify a Minimum Order Amount, if needed (in our 5OFF example, we've set it for 20, so the customer's order total must be at least $20 to be able to apply the coupon).
14. Decide on how many times a customer (or customers) can use the same code, as well as maximum daily uses (if applicable).
15. Hit the Submit button to save your changes. You're all set!
How can I generate a coupon for a specific guest
There are also ways for you to send a one-time use version of that coupon to specific customers. For example, if you want to send a coupon to an individual who has provided feedback, the easiest way is through a Custom Feedback Action. See: How to create a Custom Feedback Action
Alternatively, if the customer you want to send a coupon to did not contact you through the feedback feature, you will need to send it to them in a different way. The easiest method is through the Send a Coupon option on the Order History page. See: Managing Past Orders
How can my guests redeem a coupon?
To redeem a coupon manually, the guest would enter the coupon code on the Checkout page.
