Managing Pending Orders

This article discusses how to manage pending orders

Updated over 2 months ago

When orders are initially submitted by customers, they enter the Pending Orders list. Pending orders must be confirmed by your staff quickly, as this is the only way a customer will know their order has been accepted by your restaurant and will be prepared by the promised due time. It also ensures that all orders are properly received and do not get lost in processing.

Incoming orders will automatically be added to the Pending Orders list in real-time. Orders will appear in this list near instantly once they are submitted by customers.

When there are pending orders, an orange button will appear in the top-right corner of all screens to indicate the number of pending orders. The tablet will also repeatedly ding to alert your staff of incoming orders.

The following actions are available for pending orders:

  • Confirm the order

  • Adjust the order’s prep time

  • Reject the order entirely

Once the order is confirmed or adjusted, it will become an Active Order.
