User Administration

What is the User Admin Tool? How do I create new users? How do I edit a user's permissions?

Overview

Our User Administration tools allow you to create and maintain Paytronix users, as well as manage which parts of the program they have access to.

Before You Start

Ensure you are a User Admin for your merchant and have the permissions required to perform administrative functions. If you need additional permissions, contact an existing User Admin to get the proper permissions added to your account. Please contact Paytronix Support or a Solutions Consultant if you have additional questions about the User Admin tools.

Using the User Administration Tools

User Administrative Functions can be found on the in the User Administration tab on the Paytronix Merchant Portal.

From here, depending on your permissions, you can manage other users, permission groups, change your own password, and perform SSO (Single Sign On) Administration.

Managing Other Users

From the User Administration tab, select Manager Other Users. This will allow you to view a list of all users under your merchant.

To create a new user, select New User from the upper left corner. This will allow you to assign a username, starting password, enter some demographic information for the user, and assign the appropriate user permission groups for the new account.

To edit an existing user, select the pencil icon from the action column on the left of the user table. When editing a user, you can unlock accounts, reset passwords, change user information, assign new permissions, or terminate access to the Paytronix Merchant Portal.

Note: When creating and editing accounts, you will only be able to assign permissions that are already assigned to your account. Please contact Paytronix Support or a Solutions Consultant if you have any questions or if you are unable to assign the necessary permissions.

Managing Permission Groups

Merchant Permission Groups are a way to keep permissions organized and easily assign groupings of permissions to users. The merchant groups you may have are unique to your merchant.

To create or manage Merchant Permission Groups, select Manage Permission Groups from the User Administration tab on the Paytronix Portal.

From here you can select New Permission Group to create a new subset of permissions from the permissions already assigned to your account. You can select the pencil icon to edit any existing permission groups that you have access to.

SSO Administration

SSO Administration provides a way to set-up and utilize Single Sign-on (SSO) for logging into the PXS. The Paytronix Customer SSO Guide provides a detailed overview of the available SSO functionality. Additionally, there are detailed software specific setup articles for AzureAD and Okta depending on the SSO framework that you are utilizing.
