How Store Billing Works
Paytronix bills based on the number of open stores in your account, regardless of transaction volume. This means that every store location marked as "open" in the Paytronix system will generate charges, even if that store hasn't processed any transactions during the billing period.
What Generates Store Charges
Open Store Status: If a store location is set to "open" in your Paytronix account, it will be billed according to your contract terms.
Need to close a store? Follow this guide.
Transaction Volume: Store charges are applied regardless of whether the store processes transactions. A store with zero transactions will still generate the same charges as an active store.
Store Billing Timeline
Monthly Billing Cycle: Store charges are calculated monthly based on your store status during that period
Billing Date: Store fees typically appear on your invoice for the month they were active
Ex. October’s bill is for the month of October. So, if a store if open on October 1 and closes October 16, you will be billed the full month of October. Paytronix does not prorate for mid-month for closures.
Managing Your Store Billing
Active Stores: Stores that are processing transactions are automatically billed as expected.
Inactive Stores: If you have stores that are no longer operating or haven't opened yet, you can contact Support to close them and avoid ongoing charges.
Store Closures: Only our Support team can close stores in the system. Store closures require 2 business days advance notice and will take effect on the date you specify.
Common Billing Scenarios
New Store Setup: You can set up a new store location in advance without immediate billing by coordinating the opening date with Support
Temporary Closures: If a store is temporarily closed but you plan to reopen it, you may want to keep it active to maintain your setup
Permanent Closures: Contact Support to close stores that have permanently shut down
