Overview
This feature is used to determine the priority of which reward(s) are made available for redemption when the member has multiple eligible rewards available that cannot be applied to the check concurrently.
Before You Start
Access to this feature is granted with the "Wallet Priority - Read and Write Wallet Priorities" permission. Reach out to your Paytronix user admin to request this permission if you do not currently have access.
The feature is only supported for check service integrations. Most online ordering integrations and cloud POS integrations are built on the Paytronix check service. If you are unsure, reach out to [email protected] with the list of your integrations to understand whether your POS and/or online ordering integrations are check service and supported by this feature.
Standard Priority
The Paytronix check service has a default priority, from most specific reward eligibility to least specific. This is based on the POS Item Type associated with each reward:
Priority 1: Menu Item - Item-based reward eligible to be redeemed against a specific Menu Item (Ex: Cheese Pizza)
Priority 2: Promotional Groups - Item-based reward eligible to be redeemed against all items in a Promotional Group Category (Ex: Friday Night Specials)
Priority 3: Minor Groups - Item-based reward eligible to be redeemed against all items in a Minor Group Category (Ex: Vegetarian Pizzas)
Priority 4: Major Groups - Item-based reward eligible to be redeemed against all items in a Major Group Category (Ex: Pizzas)
Priority 5: Combos/Bogos - Item-based rewards eligible to be redeemed when multiple Buy One Get One or Combo conditions are met (Ex: Buy One Pizza, Get One Free)
Priority 6: Whole Check - Whole check-based rewards that are applicable to the subtotal of the check ($10 off Check)
β
Example
If a member has two rewards on their loyalty account balance: `50% off Cheese Pizza` and `Free Pizza`, and ordered one Cheese Pizza for $12.00, both rewards are eligible to discount the item, but they should not both be applicable to the same check.
β
By default, the check service would return the more specific `50% off Cheese Pizza` reward as the only eligible reward.
β
With the Reward Ordering feature, you could configure the `Free Pizza` reward to be returned instead.
Configuring Custom Reward Ordering Priority

When you have all the rewards you would like to prioritize added, you can drag and drop them in the right order. The top rewards have the highest priority.

Non-prioritized rewards will follow the standard priority order outlined above, after all of the prioritized rewards
