Overview

Interested in a holistic view of the health of how your emails are being sent/received? Read on to learn more about the Email Deliverability dashboard and how it can provide valuable insights on the overall health of your email program.

What is the Email Deliverability dashboard?

The Email Deliverability dashboard is a place where you can gain access to various email metrics, such as email clicks, bounce rates, unsubscribe rates, delivery rates, etc. The dashboard allows you to break out these metrics by campaign, domain, and time period to gain valuable insights into your messaging.

What insights exist in the dashboard?

The dashboard provides various metrics such as:

  • Email delivery rate

  • Bounce rate

  • Unsubscribe rate

These can provide the insights necessary to help maintain a healthy sender reputation. A bad sender reputation can lead to emails entering spam folders more often, and can have a significantly negative impact on a your ability to communicate with guests.

How can I filter my results?

You can choose how to aggregate results, such as by month, day, year, etc. This can be helpful if a you want to understand something that happened with your email sending a few days ago, or if you wish to understand the health of your email sending last month.

You can also choose the date range over which metrics are calculated using a separate date filter for the bottom table that breaks out metrics by email domain. Both date filters are filtering on the start date of the campaign that is being displayed or being included in the aggregation.

The campaign label filter allows you to look at one or a set of campaigns, allowing you to get more granular in their analysis.

Here is a breakdown of what each filter shows:

Date granularity

For visualizations that are over time, choose to aggregate metrics by day, month, or at a different level

Date range

The date range over which all metrics (except the Deliverability by Recipient Domain table) are calculated.

Domain metrics date range

A date filter specifically for the bottom table: Deliverability by Recipient Domain.

Campaign label

A filter for a specific campaign(s). This will impact any aggregation, or visualization that displays individual campaigns.

How do I read the dashboard?

Please see the table below for a guided to the the dashboard's percentages and graphic representations.

Shown as Percentage(s)

Email Delivery Rate

Total emails delivered / Total emails sent

This is a more temporary bounce which could result from multiple factors, including the recipients inbox being full, or an attachment being too large

Monitors hard and soft bounce rates, and keep track of any changes that may be occurring over time.

Delivery Rate over Time

Monitors the delivery rate over time, allowing you to potentially react to changes in the percent of emails that are reaching inboxes.

Click Count v. Delivery and Open Rates

Allows you to monitor multiple metrics at once and to identify any changes, trends, or correlations between metrics.

Emails Sent per Subscriber Receiving Emails

The number of emails sent per guest can be a great way to make sure you are not over communicating with guests and creating frustration. Ultimately, monitoring this should lead to more effective email communication and better overall email sending health.

Clickthrough Rate vs. Hard Bounce Rate

Compares the clickthrough rate and the hard bounce rate. It is likely that these could be correlated.

Email Unsubscribe Rate by Campaign

This is one way to determine if there are particular campaigns that are not well received by your audience, and can provide useful feedback to a marketer.

Email Open Rate by Campaign

A metric to understand what campaigns might be performing better than others and receiving more engagement

Deliverability by Recipient Domain

If there are any metrics in the upper parts of the dashboard that are concerning or not in an acceptable range, this table is great for digging in to get more information. The table can help you understand if there are certain domains that are contributing more to a more concerning metric.
