What is a Juvenile User Account?

This article explains the "juvenile user" status and options for these types of accounts

Updated over 2 months ago

NOTE: Paytronix does not keep user data on guests under 13 years old.

Guests who register for accounts with a birthday under 13 years old (at the date of registration) are classified as a juvenile user. This limits the amount of demographic information that is stored on the account.

Account Lookup

In the PXS, to lookup a juvenile account, you will need to use the card number or enter in the email address in the Username field. The account will not be accessible by searching for the email address in the email address field, or by searching for first or last name.

Account Lookup

When viewing juvenile account, you will be shown this message on the account info screen in the bottom left of the main information box.

Juvenile accounts may cause some confusion if a guest attempts to register another account using the same email address. They may be presented with a "This email is already in use error." This can be confirmed by searching for the email in the username field.

Clear Juvenile Status

This juvenile user status can be cleared (at the request of the guest) by navigating to Account Services > Clear Juvenile Status.

Clear Juvenile Status

A confirmation box will appear.

Once submitted, this will enable full privileges on the account, which include entering demographic info, and will be able to be accessed from the username, first/last name, email address, and phone number fields in PXS.

If the Clear Juvenile Status option is not visible, reach out to your user admin to have this permission added to your user account.
