"Select Favorite" Location List Empty or Unavailable During App Registration

Problem

During app registration, users may encounter an empty "Select Favorite" location field or a "LOCATION LIST UNAVAILABLE" message.

Cause

  • Cause 1 β€” Store Longitude Value Missing a Dash

    Store Longitude values for US/Canada locations must include a negative sign (e.g., -71.123456).

  • Cause 2 β€” Incorrect Store Group Category

    The store group used for favorite locations must have a Type of "Other". If this Type was changed "Concept", "Region" or "Franchise", the app cannot load the location list even if all stores have valid coordinates.

Resolution

Step 1 β€” Verify Store Coordinates

  1. In the Paytronix Customer Portal, go to Store Administration > Stores

  2. Open each store and click the edit (pencil) icon.

  3. Confirm Latitude and Longitude are entered (up to 6 decimal places)

  4. Ensure Longitude includes a negative sign for applicable locations

  5. Submit.

Step 2 β€” Verify the Store Group Type

  1. Go to Store Administration > Store Groups

  2. Review the Favorite Stores group and if the Category is not "Other", click the edit (pencil) icon

  3. Change the Category to "Other" and click Submit

  4. Test registration again. The location list should now populate
