Overview
This document describes the role your company's Privacy Policy has on websites and mobile apps, including those from Paytronix.
Privacy Policies
As a service provider, Paytronix offers products and services used by its clients. It is the client's responsibility to describe their overall business practices involving personal information. Privacy Policies should describe, among other things, what and how consumer personal information is collected and how it is managed.
Privacy Policy postings are an industry best practice, required by Mobile App Stores and an obligation of certain laws. Companies are expected to describe what information is collected (including location data) and why it is collected, how the collected data is used, if collected data is shared and how long collected data is retained. Privacy Policies must also provide instructions on how an individual may exercise their rights, including data deletion requests.
A Privacy Policy should be:
Posted prominently on web sites, e.g. in the page footer.
Contained within cookie notification banners.
Posted on App Store entry for mobile apps.
Accessible from mobile apps.
Mobile App Considerations
Not having a Privacy Policy or one that does not meet the App Store's requirements will prevent the App from being listed.
Paytronix mobile apps are able to collect location data which must be disclosed.
